NAC automatically manages a dynamically detected list of assets which can be deemed trusted or untrusted. If an asset is untrusted, it is automatically blocked from network access through integration with most major smartswitches and firewalls.
If an asset is trusted, it can be automatically inspected for new common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs). Any CVEs found in a trusted asset can be blocked at the firewall by dynamic reconfiguration of the firewall rules table.
